Afripods: What’s New and What to Expect

Your podcast deserves a better way to grow.

We’ve been working behind the scenes to build a better Afripods experience, and we’re excited to share what’s new with you.

Introducing a refreshed Afripods experience, designed to make managing and understanding your podcast easier. With a redesigned dashboard, simpler podcast management, and improved analytics, you can spend less time figuring out the platform and more time focusing on your content, understanding your audience, and growing your podcast.

Here’s What to Expect

1. A Refreshed Creator Dashboard

Get a clearer picture of your podcast at a glance.

The updated Creator Dashboard gives you a clearer view of your podcast and its activity, making it easier to navigate the platform and keep track of your content. Whether you're checking in on your podcast or managing your next episode, everything is designed to make your experience more straightforward.

2. Simpler Podcast and Content Management

Spend less time managing your podcast and more time creating.

We’ve improved how you manage your podcast and its content, making key tasks more seamless. The goal is to make your day-to-day experience on Afripods easier, so you can focus on producing great content for your listeners.

3. Better Analytics: Understand How Your Audience Listens

Go beyond stream counts and gain more meaningful insights into your content.

One of the key improvements is how we measure podcast listening. We’ve updated our measurement algorithms to align with IAB podcast measurement guidelines. Rather than simply counting individual audio fragments, the updated platform uses an improved methodology to measure listens more meaningfully.

You’ll also have access to insights such as retention and completion rates, helping you understand how much of your episodes people listen to and where they may stop listening.

These insights can help you identify what resonates with your audience, evaluate your episodes, and make more informed decisions about your future content.

4. Better Collaboration for Podcast Teams

Great podcasts are rarely built alone. Now, your team can work together on Afripods.

Whether you’re part of a podcast network, radio station, or production team, Afripods makes collaboration easier. You can work together through shared podcast accounts, with different levels of access for different team members.

This means your team can collaborate on managing your podcast while ensuring everyone has access suited to their role.

A Quick Note on Your Privacy and Terms

Alongside these platform updates, we’ve updated our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions to reflect the latest changes to the platform and how we work with our creators and users.

We encourage you to take a moment to review the updated documents:

The Next Chapter of Afripods Starts Here

These updates are an important step forward, and we’re just getting started. With creators at the centre of what we do, we’ll continue building tools to help you grow your audience, collaborate with your team, build your podcast business, and better understand what resonates with your listeners.

As you explore the updated platform, our team will be here to support you through onboarding and help you make the most of what’s available.
